Special inspections are extra, expert check-ups during construction, on behalf of the building department and above and beyond what the city inspectors do. These checks are performed by International Code Council (ICC) certified specialists – real pros who've proven they know their stuff!
A big part of the process also involves construction materials testing (CMT) where those certified experts monitor, sample, and test the materials used - like concrete, masonry, steel, and soils - both on-site and in accredited labs.
It’s through these processes that we make sure the projects are built exactly to the engineer-prepared plans, jurisdictional requirements, and building codes. It's like having another set of highly trained eyes on the job to catch potential problems early, ensuring the built environment is safe, sturdy, and adheres to design!
