The Wallace Group, Inc. is seeking motivated applicants interested in pursuing a career in the construction service industry for an entry level soils and construction materials technician position based in their office and laboratory in Bend Oregon. 

We are looking for candidates with a strong technical aptitude, verbal and organizational skills, and a willingness to develop professional writing skills under the direction of Wallace Group mentors.  Desired candidates must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, team environment that supports field exploration and testing operations.  Job responsibilities include performing laboratory tests on soil/rock samples and analysis of construction materials including aggregate, concrete, and fireproofing.  Duties will also include performing field testing, inspection, and report preparation.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Attention to detail, thoroughness, organization, analyzing information
  • Competent math and communication skills
  • Interest in construction technology or the natural sciences
  • Ability to interpret plans, technical reports, and guidance documents
