My area of expertise is in field work relating to sample collection, in-field testing, and lab testing. I recently graduated from Oregon State University with a Bachelor of Science in Geology and spent weeks in the field learning about the specific geology of Oregon. My studies have made me well-versed in subsurface and geological history - from the Permian basement of eastern Oregon to the accretion of terrain at our west coast, to our new volcanic history in Central Oregon.
My Perfect day starts before the sun rises, driving up Century drive and beginning my hike up South Sisters. I’ll try to make it up the red mile before the heat of the day and cool my beverage of choice in the snow at the top of the mountain with my lunch. After getting back to the car, I’ll meet my friends at Sparks Lake and camp out for the rest of the weekend.
